Tip: answer on a normal day, about an hour after washing your face with a gentle cleanser and putting nothing on it.

The routine advice follows guidance from the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD):
- Know your skin type and use products made for it
- Dry skin: ingredients like glycerin and hyaluronic acid
- Acne-prone skin: choose "non-comedogenic" products
- Sunscreen: SPF 30 or higher
